Claims (3)

1. Förfarande för att emulsionspolymerisera en monomerbland-ning, som innehäller (i) 20 - 80 viktprocent an en blandning med 100 - 75 vikt-procent av en eller flera C8_12 vinylaromatiska monomerer, som är osubstituerad eller substituerad med en C1_4 alkylradikal eller en kloratom, och 0-25 viktprocent av en eller flera C2_8 alkenylnitriler; (ii) 80 - 19,5 viktprocent av en eller flera C4_6 konjugerade diolefiner, som är osubstituerad eller substituerad med en kloratom; (iii) 0,5 - 10 viktprocent av en eller flera monomerer med formeln (I) 0 II H2C=C-C-0-R2 (I) R1 där är väte eller en C-^g alkylradikal och R2 är en radikal med formeln (a) O II ·;*. -CnH2n-C-OH, där n är ett heltal 1-6; eller (b) O 0 Il II -CaH2a-0-C-CbH2b-C-0H, där a och b är heltalet 1-4; eller (iv) eventuellt upp tili 20 viktprocent av en eller flera monomerer vald ur gruppen, bestäende av: (a) C3_6 etyleniskt omättade karboxylsyrors C^.g alkyl- och hydroxialkylestra; (b) C3_6 etyleniskt omättade aldehyder; och II 95275 (c) C3_6 etyleniskt omättade karboxylsyrors amider, som är osubstituerade eller substituerade i kväveatomen med högst tvä C1-4 alkyl- och/eller C1-4 hydroxialkylgrupper; kännetecknat därav, att polymerisationen sker vid ett pH-värde av over 7,5.
2. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat därav, att pH är 8 - 11.
3. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat därav, att monomerblandningen innehäller: 40 - 70 viktprocent styren, alfa-metylstyren och/eller akry-lonitril; 29,5 - 60 viktprocent butadien, isopren och/eller kloropren; 0,5 - 5 viktprocent alfa-akryloyloxiättiksyra, beta-akryloyl-oxipropionsyra, beta-metakryloyloxipropionsyra, alfa-metakry-loyloxiättiksyra, gamma-akryloyloxibutansyra, gamma-metakrylo-yloxibetansyra och/eller upp tili 5 viktprocent akrolein, metylakrylat, etylakrylat, butylakrylat, metyl-metakrylat, etylmetakrylat, butylmeta-krylat, hydroxietylakrylat, etyl-hexylakrylat, hydroxietyl-metakrylat, etylhexylmetakrylat, akrylamid, metakrylamid, N-metylolakrylamid och N-metylol-metakrylamid.
