Abstract
The terminal has a microprocessor memory having a read output (RDB). The processor is connected directly to a read input of an external memory (ROM12), a capacitor (C1) and a diode (C1). The output of the diode (D1) is connected to the gate of a field effect transistor (18), to a resistor (R1, R2) and capacitor (C2) circuit. The transistor source is connected to a memory selection terminal (CS1) and the resistor and capacitor circuit. The transistor drain is connected to the external memory selection (CSB) and through a resistor (R3) to a 5V potential source. The transistor (18) switches the external memory off when it is selected while the microprocessor is powered down. <IMAGE>
