Tulokseksi saadun jakautumiskerboimen D:n riippuvuus pH:sta on kyseisten metallien osalta esitetty kuvassa 1. Tästä nähdään, että uutto- tai vastaavasti takaisinuuttotasapaino pH-alueella 2,0-3,5 estää suurimman osan koboltista uuttautumasta tai vastaavasti sallii suurimman osan koboltista takaisinuuttau-tumaan samalla kun kyseiset metallit huomattavassa määrin siirtyvät uuttoliuokseen tai vastaavasti pysyvät tässä faasissa. Käyttämällä selektiivistä takaisinuuttoa voidaan saadun kobolttituotteen puhtausastetta nostaa. Esitetyn tuloksen perusteella alaan perehtyneen on mahdollista laskea, mitä pH:ta kulloinkin on edullista käyttää selektiivisen koboltin takaisinuutossa. pH:ssa 2,5-3,0 voidaan esimerkiksi koboltti erottaa kalsiumista ja tätä metallia voimakkaammin uuttautuvista metalleista. 16 64652
