Abstract

A locking device between two or more telescopic elements, movable relative to one another, of a cage or goods lift. Here, the individual telescopic elements are mutually locked by trip-dog carriers or locking pawls. This locking can be designed to occur automatically and to be released by the actuation of a pulling rope or vice versa. The essential feature of the invention is that the rope extension of the pulling rope run over a plurality of telescopic elements is compensated by pulley-block-like turning of the pulling rope, i.e. a substantially greater shortening is effected at reduced expenditure of force in the pulling rope compared with the unlocking or locking rope. Consequently, there is not only a transmission ratio within the pulling rope itself but also between the pulling rope and the locking or unlocking rope.
