SE FUNDE UNA MEZCLA A BASE DE OXIDO DE ALUMINIO O MATERIAS PRIMAS RICAS EN EL, EVENTUALMENTE CON OTRAS ADICIONES, CON UN AGENTE REDUCTOR QUE CONTIENE CARBONO, A SOLAS O CON UN AGENTE REDUCTOR METALICO, Y LUEGO SE ENFRIA RAPIDAMENTE LA MASA FUNDIDA, DESPUES DE LO CUAL EL GRANO ABRASIVO TRITURADO A PARTIR DE LA MASA FUNDIDA SOLIDIFICADA SE SOMETE A UN TRATAMIENTO TERMICO A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 500JC Y 1.500JC, DURANTE 3 MINUTOS A 24 HORAS, Y SI SE DESEA, ANTES O DESPUES DE ESTE TRATAMIENTO TERMICO, SE DOTA AL MATERIAL DE UNA CAPA SUPERFICIAL COMPUESTA DE SILICATOS, GRANO FINO DE CORINDON, PIGMENTOS T/U OXIDOS DE HIERRO.
