EL PROCESO CONSISTE EN EFECTUAR UN PRESECADO Y UN POSTENCENDIDO, RESPECTIVAMENTE ANTES Y DESPUES DEL ENCENDIDO DE LA CARGA A AGLOMERAR, POR MEDIO DE CORRIENTES GASEOSAS CALIENTES QUE ATRAVIESAN LA CITADA CARGA. LA CORRIENTE GASEOSA DE PRESECADO Y LA CORRIENTE GASEOSA DE POSTENCENDIDO SE FORMAN RESPECTIVAMENTE POR HUMOS NO OXIDANTES Y POR HUMOS OXIDANTES PROCEDENTES SEPARADAMENTE DE LA COMBUSTION DE EFLUENTES SIDERURGICOS, PRINCIPALMENTE DE EFLUENTES SIDERURGICOS DE PEQUEÑO PODER CALORIFICO, TAL COMO EL GAS DE ALTO HORNO.
