Abstract
1396205 Sintering iron ore particles CALSPAN CORP 5 Jan 1973 790/73 Heading C1A Iron ore particles are sintered by mixing them with sewage sludge as at least part of a quantity of fuel sufficient to provide an amount of heat within the mixture to promote the incipient fusion of the iron ore particles, and then combusting the fuel in the mixture. The sinterable mixture may comprise iron ore, fluxstone, sewage sludge, coke and sufficient water (which may be contained in the sewage sludge) to produce an "earthy texture".
