METODO DE PRODUCCION DEL ANTIBIOTICO NARASINA. SE CULTIVA ~ASTREPTOMYCES GRANULORUBER~B NRRL 12389 O UN MUTANTE O VARIANTE DEL MISMO, PRODUCTOR DE NARASINA, EN UN MEDIO DE CULTIVO QUE CONTIENE FUENTES ASIMILABLES DE HIDRATOS DE CARBONO, NITROGENO Y SALES INORGANICAS, BAJO CONDICIONES DE FERMENTACION AEROBIA SUMERGIDA, HASTA QUE EL CITADO ORGANISMO PRODUCE EN EL MEDIO DE CULTIVO MENCIONADO UNA CANTIDAD SUSTANCIAL DE ACTIVIDAD ANTIBIOTICA. POSTERIORMENTE SE SEPARA LA NARASINA DEL MEDIO DE CULTIVO. SE UTILIZA CONTRA LAS BACTERIAS GRAM-POSITIVAS, BACTERIAS ANAEROBIAS Y LOS HONGOS Y ES UTIL COMO AGENTE ANTICOCCIDIAL Y COMO AGENTE PARA AUMENTAR LA UTILIZACION DEL PIENSO EN LOS RUMIANTES.
