Abstract

The automatic starter is for a small cylinder air-cooled two-stroke engine and has a thermostat to measure the temperature of the head. A valve (14) is controlled by the thermostat to open when the temperature is below a given value and vice versa. The valve is situated in a conduit (10,12) which connects the choke jet to the inlet manifold for a fresh charge. The control valve is situated in a small housing connected to the conduit and is held closed by a small spring.
