Abstract

In a cartridge housing (47), the mixing valve has a ceramic disc (50) which is arranged on a stationary ceramic disc (49) such that it can rotate for the purpose of temperature regulation and can be displaced linearly for the purpose of quantity regulation. A shell-shaped driver (52), which is coupled to a lever (14) which can pivot and rotate, is seated firmly on the movable disc (50). Via the movable disc (50), the driver (52) limits a closed guide channel into which brush clusters (52a), which are used for sound damping, project from the cover of the driver against the movable disc. The perforations (50a, 50b and 49a, 49b respectively) of the two discs (49, 50) are arranged on an arc and are approximately arc-shaped. The control edge (72) of the inlet perforation (50a) in the movable disc (50) has an intervening tab (73) in the longitudinal centre. When the movable disc (50) rotates in order to increase the temperature of the mixed water, this tab ensures that the temperature rises slowly in a relatively large central rotation region, in that it increases the cold water inlet flow when it moves out of the region of the cold-water inlet perforation (49aK), and reduces the hot water inlet flow when entering the region of the hot-water inlet perforation (49aW).
