Abstract

A reservoir for use in a washing machine to contain a liq. soap or other cleaning reagent is moulded with two compartments, one to act as a bulk reservoir and one for dispensing a controlled quantity of the liq. The main reservoir has two overhead openings - one via which the reservoir can be filled and the second to accommodate a small bellows pump with separate tubes incorporating non-return valves to draw liq. from the main reservoir and discharge towards the minor reservoir. The extension of the bellows is limited by a lip around the top of the recess in which it is mounted to produce a consistent dose vol. per sweep. Reduces the frequency with which the machine has to be charped with the soap etc.
