EN PRIMER LUGAR, SE TRATA DE CONSEGUIR UNA SALMUERA DE CLORURO DE MAGNESIO POR DISOLUCION DE SUSTANCIAS QUE CONTIENEN MAGNESIO EN ACIDO CLORHIRIDO Y POSTEIOR TRATAMIENTO CON PRECIPITACION U SEPARACION DE IMPUREZAS QUE SE ENCUENTRAN EN LA MASA TURBIA DE CLORURO DE MAGNESIO FORMADA POR EL PROCESO DE DISOLUCION, AÑADIENDOSE A LA MASA TURBIA UNA SUSTANCIA DONADORA DE IONES SULFATO.
