EN PRIMER LUGAR SE PURGA EL SISTEMA CON UN GAS NO OXIDANTE, TAL COMO NITROGENO, A FIN DE ELIMINAR SUSTANCIALMENTE TODO EL OXIGENO Y EL AGUA DE DICHO SISTEMA, SIENDO NECESARIA DICHA PURGA PARA EVITAR LAS FUERTES CONDICIONES DE CORROSION QUE SE PODRIAN PRODUCIR POESTERIORMENTE. SE INYECTA ENTONCES ACIDO CLORHIDRICO GASEOSO SUSTANCIALMENTE PURO EN DICHO SISTEMA, DE LTAL MANERA QUE EL GAS SE DIFUNDE A A TRAVES DE LOS POROS DE LA LOSA DE DIFUSION Y REACCIONA QUIMICAMENTE CON LA INCRUSTACION DE HIDROXIDO FERRICO PREVIAMENTE FORMADA. ANTES DE REINTRODUCIR EL OXIGENO SE DEBE NUEVAMENTE PURGAR DE MANERA SIMILAR A LA ANTERIORMENTE CITADA.
