Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove dust and odor simultaneously and effectively by adding an oxidizing agent, a reducing agent and the like into a bubbling layer, in cleaning an exhaust gas by a bubbling chamber.

The soot, dust and part of odorous components contained in the exhaust gas are adsorbed onto the surfaces of bubbles, and the residual odorous components are removed by decomposition through chemical reactions such as oxidation, reduction or the like. In the case, where ionic and nonionic surface active agents are used in suitable combination, the bubble forming can be accomplished even when a strong oxidizing agent, a strong reducing agent or the like is added to it.
