CONSISTE EN LA REACCION DEL DESPLAZAMIENTO DEL COMPUESTO DE FORMULA (I), EN LA QUE X ES UN GRUPO FACILMENTE DESPLAZABLE POR FLUOR. SI X ES UN GRUPO AMINO, SE TRATA DE NITRITO SODICO Y ACIDO FLUOBORICO PARA OBTENER EL FLUOBORATO DE DIAZONIO, QUE SE DESCOMPONE AL COMPUESTO DE FORMULA (I), EN LA QUE X ES FLUOR, POR CALENTAMIENTO A REFLUJO EN DISOLUCION DE XILENO. ESTE COMPUESTO TIENE APLICACIONES FARMACOLOGICAS EN EL TRATAMIENTO Y CONTROL DE CONDICIONES ALERGICAS, TALES COMO EL ASMA ALERGICO.
