Abstract

The motor 41 positioning the minimum opening throttle stop 60 has a continuous connection 48, 49, 50 to the induction passage 1 and a connection 70, 71, 72, 73 to atmosphere controlled by a solenoid valve 75 fed with variable duty ratio pulse signals. The duty ratio is dependent on engine speed, temperature and deceleration and operation of engine accessories to provide the desired minimum throttle valve opening, e.g. to set the engine idling speed.
