Abstract

A switchable fuse mounting has an additional switch cam (11) on the movable switch fuse holder (4) for the fused live conductor 6, 6', 8, 8' and this cam (11) engages a moving contact (9') with a fixed contact 9 in the neutral conductor path so as to close or interrupt the neutral path when the switch member is moved into a position corresponding to closure or interruption of the fused live conductor path. The neutral switching operation leads the live switching operation on re-establishment of contact and lags behind the live switching operation on interruption of contact. In a modification a closure member for a threaded cartridge fuse may operate a pair of bridging contacts in the live and neutral lines respectively.
