CONSISTE EN CULTIVAR EN CONDICIONES AEROBIAS, EN UN MEDIO DE CULTIVO ACUOSO, QUE CONTIENE FUENTES DE CARBONO Y DE NITROGENO E IONES INORGANICOS, A UNA TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE 30 Y 40 GC, UN MUTANTE DEL GENERO "BREVIBACTERIUM" O "CORYNEBACTERIUM" RESISTENTE A UN INHIBIDOR RESPIRATORIO O INHIBIDOR DE FOSFORILACION DE ADP. EL ACIDO L-GLUTAMICO ACUMULADO EN EL LIQUIDO DE CULTIVO RESULTANTE SE RECUPERA POR UN METODO CONVENCIONAL.
