LA CUBA (1) ACOMODA UN TAMBOR PERFORADO (4) CUYOS EJES (5) ESTAN MONTADOS EN DOS COJINETES ALOJADOS EN LA PARED DE LA CUBA. PARTE DE LA SUPERFICIE DEL TAMBOR COMPRENDE UNA PUERTA PARA CARGA Y DESCARGA. EL TAMBOR ES ACCIONADO, A TRAVES DE LA CORREA (11), POR UN MOTOR ELECTRICO (7) CUYO EJE (8) DESCANSA DIRECTAMENTE SOBRE UN ASIENTO DISPUESTO EN LA CUBA. EN EL EJE (8) SE DISPONE UNA JUNTA DE OBTURACION (9). UN IMPULSOR (12), MONTADO EN EL EXTREMO DE DICHO EJE, ACCIONA UNA BOMBA (13). EL CUERPO DE BOMBA VA UNIDO A LA CUBA POR MEDIO DE UN PASO ANULAR Y COMUNICA CON EL TUBO DE VACIADO DEL AGUA. LA DISPOSICION DEL CONJUNTO FORMADO POR EL TAMBOR, SU POLEA, LA CUBA Y EL MOTOR ES TAL QUE SU CENTRO DE GRAVEDAD ESTA SITUADO EN EL PLANO DE SIMETRIA PERPENDICULAR AL EJE GEOMETRICO DEL TAMBOR, NO SIENDO NECESARIO CONTRAPESO ALGUNO.
