PROCEDIMIENTO Y APARATO PARA LA PRODUCCION DE UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA DE DIOXIDO DE CLORO. EL PROCEDIMIENTO CONSISTE EN HACER REACCIONAR UNA SOLUCION DE CLORATO SODICO Y DIOXIDO DE AZUFRE Y UNA CORRIENTE VERTICAL GAS-LIQUIDO, PONIENDO EN CONTACTO A CONTINUACION LA CORRIENTE GASEOSA RESULTANTE DE DIOXIDO DE CLORO CON AGUA. LAS CORRIENTES DE REACTIVO SE ENCUENTRAN A UNA TEMPERATURA DE 50 A 60GC Y LA PRESION SE MANTIENE ENTRE 80 Y 100 MM. DE HG; EL CAUDAL DE AGUA EMPLEADA DA UNA CONCENTRACION DE DIOXIDO DE CLORO INFERIOR A 3 G./L. EL APARATO CONSTA DE LOS SIGUIENTES ELEMENTOS: UNA TORRE TUBULAR VERTICAL DE CONTACTO GAS LIQUIDO EN CONTRACORRIENTE, EN DOS CONDUCTOS DE ALIMENTACION; UN CONDUCTO DE PRODUCTO GASEOSO QUE COMUNICA CON EL EXTREMO SUPERIOR DE LA TORRE PARA SACAR DE LA MISMA EL DIOXIDO DE CLORO GASEOSO FORMADO; UN CONDUCTO DE PRODUCTO LIQUIDO QUE COMUNICA CON EL EXTREMO INFERIOR DE LA TORRE PARA SACAR DE LA MISMA EL SUBPRODUCTO LIQUIDO.
