CONSISTE EN HACER PASAR LOS RESIDUOS AL REFRIGERADOR COLOCADO DEBAJO, POR CUYA PARTE SUPERIOR SE INTRODUCE AGUA DOSIFICADA DE FORMA QUE LA MAYOR PARTE DEL CALOR SE ELIMINA COMO CALOR DE EVAPORACION ELIMINANDOSE EL CALOR RESIDUAL MEDIANTE UN GAS Y/O MEDIANTE EL INTERCAMBIO TERMICO INDIRECTO. LA REGULACION DEL CAUDAL SE EFECTUA EN FUNCION DE LA TEMPERATURA DEL RESIDUO DE GASIFICACION. EL GAS INTRODUCIDO POR LA PARTE INFERIOR TIENE UN CONTENIDO EN HUMEDAD TAN REDUCIDO COMO SEA POSIBLE, ESTE GAS ACTUA ADEMAS COMO MEDIO DE GASIFICACION EN EL REACTOR Y COMO ESPONJANTE DEL LECHO.
