SOMETER A UNA REACCION DE NEUTRALIZACION HASTA POR LO MENOS UN 50 POR 100 DE LOS GRUPOS IONIZABLES DE UN POLIMERO DE POLIELECTROLITO DEBILMENTE BASICO O ACIDO. 2. INCORPORAR EN UNA MATRIZ DE SOPORTE EL POLIMERO Y MEDIOS INDICADORES CAPACES DE PRODUCIR UNA RESPUESTA DETECTABLE AL INTERCAMBIO IONICO. 3. PUESTA EN CONTACTO DE LA MUESTRA DE ENSAYO CON EL DISPOSITIVO OBTENIDO EN LA OPERACION. 3. OBSERVACION DE LA RESPUESTA PROCEDENTE DE LOS INDICADORES.
