Abstract
Un procedimiento para limpiar cambiadores de calor y otros equipos de tratamiento cuyas superficies han llegado a ensuciarse con depósitos de lodo durante el paso a través de dichos equipos de un sorbente líquido que comprende un tetrahaluro de aluminio cuproso y un disolvente hidrocarbonado aromático, que comprende las etapas de poner en contacto las porciones del equipo que contienen dichos depósito de lodo con una solución de limpieza que es una solución acuosa que contiene de 2% a 35% en peso de cloruro de amonio a una temperatura comprendida en el intervalo de 0ºC a 50ºC hasta que sustancialmente la totalidad del lodo depositado se ha disuelto o se ha desprendido de dichas superficies, lavar dichas porciones del equipo con agua a una temperatura comprendida en el intervalo de 10ºC a 80ºC para separar el lodo desprendido y la solución de limpieza residual, y secar dichas porciones del equipo.
