Abstract

1. Sistema de frenado para vehículos que comprende frenos accionados por medio de un fluido, al menos una fuente de fluido a presión que alimenta al menos un circuito de fluido, al menos una válvula para controlar la aplicación de fluido a presión a dichos frenos en respuesta a un cambio de presión en dicho circuito, cuyo sistema incluye medios de frenado auxiliares que comprenden: un detector montado en la parte posterior del vehículo y movible entre una posición activa y una posición inactiva normal, primeros medios de control que responden a la posición del detector y están dispuestos para actuar sobre dicha válvula y hacer que la misma aplique fluido a presión a los frenos independientemente de cualquier cambio de presión en dicho circuito, y segundos medios de control independientes de dicho detector asociados con un selector de marcha atrás controlado por el conductor del vehículo y dispuesto para permitir el accionamiento de dicha válvula por los primeros medios de control solamentecuando el selector controlado por el conductor se halla en la posición de marcha atrás del vehículo.
