Abstract

1. Un procedimiento para la preparación de derivados de hidantoina de fórmula (I): **(Fórmula I)** donde X es O, S o H; Y es -CH2-CH2-, -CH=CH- o -C=C-; N es 1 a 7; R1 es alquilo C1-4; R3 es hidroxi o hidroxi protegido; R4 es alquilo C1-9, cicloalquilo C3-8 o (cicloalquil-C3- 8)alquilo C1-6; o R2 y R4 junto con el átomo de carbono al que están enlazados representan un grupo cicloalquilo C5-8 y R5 es hidrógeno o alquilo C1-6; y sus sales; cuyo procedimiento consiste en someter a reacción de ciclación un compuesto de fórmula (V): **(Fórmula V)** donde los grupos variables son los definidos anteriormente y X'' es O o S, el cual opcionalmente, puede haberse generado in situ por reacción del compuesto de fórmula (VI): **(Fórmula VI)** con R5NCX'' cuando R5 es alquilo C1-6 o con M+CNX'' donde M+ es un ion metálico, en presencia de un ácido, cuando R5 es hidrógeno, y después, si se desea o es necesario, convertir X, Y, R3 o R5 del compuesto así formado de fórmula (I) en las otras variables X, Y, R1,R3 o R5.
