Abstract
Un método para depositar continuamente una cara delgada, de un grosor uniforme, de material de carga sobre sustancialmente toda la superficie superior de material fundido en un horno, caracterizado por cargar rápidamente una cubeta de fondo perforado con una carga de material de carga, de tal modo que la carga no pase a través de las perforaciones; mover la cubeta en un plano horizontal por encima del material fundido mientras se agita la carga de material de carga en las proximidades de las perforaciones de modo que se descargue la carga a través de las perforaciones y sobre la superficie superior del material fundido en una capa delgada, teniendo lugar dicha agitación solamente durante el movimiento de la cubeta; detener el movimiento de la cubeta después de una distancia predeterminada de recorrido y cuando se haya depositado un grosor deseado de material de carga; percibir el agotamiento de la carga de material de carga dentro de la cubeta y, en respuesta a ello, recargar automáticamente la cubeta; y percibir el adelgazamiento de la capa de carga hasta un grueso menor que una cierta cantidad mínima y, en respuesta a ello, reiniciar automáticamente el movimiento de depositar de la cubeta.
