Abstract

Un método para detectar la presencia de sangre en la corriente de circulación de dializado de un sistema de hemodiálisis, que comprende las etapas de transmitir un estrecho haz de luz hasta dicha corriente de circulación de dializado, por uno de los lados de la misma, en dirección incidente en el eje central de la corriente de circulación con un ángulo de incidencia prefijado respecto a un eje normal a dicho eje central, situar un receptor óptico , en un plano substancialmente común con dicho has de luz estrecho y por el mismo lado de dicha corriente de circulación, de tal modo que forme con dicho eje normal un ángulo comprendido de reflexión substancialmente igual a dicho ángulo de incidencia, interrumpir intermitentemente dicha transmisión de luz, con una frecuencia de repetición relativamente baja, siendo substancialmente iguales los tiempos de transmisión e interrupción en cada período, detectar el nivel medio de corriente continua de la señal recibida por dicho receptor óptico y general una señal de aviso o alarma cuando dicho nivel medio de corriente continua exceda de un valor de nivel prefijado.
