Abstract
Un procedimiento para la producción de un gas de calefacción de la calidad del gas de ciudad, con un valor calorífico de menos de 4300 kcal/Nm3 (18.000 kJ/Nm3) mediante, reacción catalítica de metanol con vapor de agua, bajo una presión comprendida en la gama de aproximadamente 10 a 50 bar; caracterizado porque una mezcla de partida, que contiene vapor de agua y metanol en una proporción en peso de aproximadamente 0,5 a 1,5, es hecha pasar en 80 a 95% por una primera zona de reacción, a temperaturas de 300 a 700º C, zona que contiene un catalizador de níquel con 25 a 50% en peso de níquel como componente activo, mientras que el resto de la mezcla de partida, junto con el gas producido en la primera zona de reacción, es hecho pasar por una segunda zona de reacción, a temperaturas de 200 a 400º C, que contiene un catalizador de cobre con 40 a 70% en peso de cobre.
