Abstract

Perfeccionamientos en las extrusoras de tornillos para espumas sintéticas termoplásticas del tipo que comprenden un cilindro, medios para inyectar en el cilindro un agente de expansión volátil líquido, y una cabeza de extrusión dispuesta para recibir del cilindro flujo de resina sintética termoplástica fundida en donde se dispersa por completo bajo presión el citado agente de expansión volátil, caracterizados por comprender un dispositivo para refrigerar dicho flujo de resina, interpuesto entre dicha cabeza y el citado cilindro, cuyo dispositivo de refrigeración comprende: (a) - un bloque metálico enfriado, provisto de dos caras enfrentadas y, por lo menos, una fila de pasos que pasan a través de dicho bloque desde una de la otra de dichas caras, (b) - una canal colectora de entrada para la entrada de dicho flujo a una primera de dichas caras y una canal colectora de salida que se extiende desde la segunda de dichas caras, (c) - estando dirigida dicha canal colectora de salida por lo menossustancialmente en la misma dirección que dicha fila de pasos y estando formada una de sus paredes laterales por dicha segunda cara de dicho bloque, con lo que los pasos individuales de dicha fila desembocan en la canal colectora de salida transversalmente a la dirección de ésta y en secuencia con respecto a esta dirección; y (d) - por lo menos un canal de refrigeración adyacente al bloque para refrigerarlo mediante un líquido refrigerante.
