Abstract
Un método para detectar la presencia de un gas extraño en un medio gaseosos con propiedades de combustión conocidas, cuyo método comprende las operaciones de: mezclar una muestra del medio gaseoso posiblemente contaminado con una cantidad conocida de gas de referencia con propiedades de combustión conocidas en un recipiente a prueba de fuego y, después de ello, accionar unos medios de ignición en un intento de hacer que la mezcla gaseosa contenida en el recipiente entre en ignición, existiendo unos medios de detección asociados con el recipiente, mediante los cuales se vigila la ignición de la mezcla gaseosa, o se vigila ésa de otra manera, para hacer posible que se detecte la presencia de un gas extraño por encima de una concentración predeterminada en el medio gaseoso.
