Abstract
Procedimiento de realización de una junta de estanquidad entre la cuba y la rueda de colada, en el curso de la colada continua del cobre, en una instalación que comprende una rueda de colada vertical, móvil en rotación alrededor de un eje horizontal, cuya periferia lleva una garganta cerrada sobre cierta longitud por una cinta metálica, formando la garganta y la cinta metálica un molde rotativo para la colada del metal en fusión, a partir de la cuba de colada, que comprende un recipiente de colada propiamente dicho, que recibe el cobre líquido, y un canalón horizontal, abierto hacia arriba, que prolonga el recipiente de colada, y descansa de forma estanca, por su extremo de salida alejado del recipiente de colada, sobre la garganta, en la proximidad de la cúspide de la rueda de colada.
