Abstract

Procedimiento de curado en una sola etapa para la fabricación de artículos absorbentes de neutrones, especialmente en forma de placas; caracterizado porque comprende curar irreversiblemente, a temperatura elevada, una mezcla, en forma de un artículo de la configuración deseada, constituida por partículas de carburo de boro, resina fenólica curable en estado líquido y resina fenólica curable en estado sólido y particulado, para aglomerar las partículas de carburo de boro por el polímero fenólico irreversiblemente curado y para obtener un mayor contenido de polimero fenólico curado en el artículo que aquel que puede obtenerse por un curado en sola etapa efectuado sin mantener la mezcla bajo la presión de compactación cuando la totalidad de la resina fenólica curable usada se encuentra en estado líquido.
