Abstract
Un procedimiento continuo para producir una banda de metal férreo galvanizado, en una cadena continua de recubrimiento por inmersión en caliente, que tiene un recubrimiento de aleación de hierro y cinc sobre solamente una superficie lateral de la misma, que comprende, hacer avanzar continuamente una banda sinfín de metal férreo, a través de un baño de recubrimiento por inmersión en caliente, proporcionando un recubrimiento de cinc por inmersión en caliente sobre ambas superficies laterales, siendo uno de dichos recubrimientos de cinc, un recubrimiento de cinc de poco espesor, que tiene un peso que no excede de aproximadamente 76 gramos/metro cuadrado y, preferiblemente, menor de aproximadamente 30 gramos/metro cuadrado, calentar una zona superficial de dicho recubrimiento de cinc de poco espesor con medios de calentamiento dispuestos en una zona de tratamiento y, simultáneamente, enfriar la superficie del otro recubrimiento de cinc, opuesto directamente a dicha zona que está siendo calentada, con medios de enfriamiento dispuestos en dicha zona de tratamiento, transformado dicho calentamiento al recubrimiento de cinc de poco espesor en un recubrimiento superficial de aleación de hierro y cinc, y manteniendo dicho enfriamiento a dicho otro recubrimiento de cinc, durante el calentamiento en dicha zona de tratamiento, por debajo de una temperatura a la cual se produce un importante aumento de espesor de la capa de aleación inter metálica de hierro y cinc sub superficial de dicho otro recubrimiento de cinc.
