Abstract

Un método de conformar una chapa metálica hasta darle una forma tridimensional de curvatura compuesta prefijada, método que comprende las acciones calentar localmente una chapa metálica a una temperatura elevada, a lo largo de una faja o banda relativamente estrecha, moviendo para ello una fuente de calor a lo largo de una línea prefijada y a una velocidad tal que dicho caldeo se extiende completamente por todo el espesor de dicha chapa, enfriar rápidamente dicha chapa a la largo de la línea citada que sigue dicho caldeo, de modo que se produzca una contracción apreciable dentro del plano de la citada chapa, enfriar rápidamente dicha chapa a lo largo de la línea citada que sigue caldeo, de modo que se produzca una contratación apreciable dentro del plano de la citada chapa en dirección sustancialmente perpendicular a dicha línea de caldeo, y repetir dichas acciones de calentar y enfriar a lo largo de unas líneas adicionales, en un diseño distributivo geométrico de la chapa, diseño éste quese deriva de la deformación o distorsión lineal inherente a la proyección de la curvatura compuesta prefijada sobre dicha chapa metálica, de tal modo que el resultado total de dicha contracción en plano es el de que dicha chapa adopta la citada curvatura compuesta prefijada.
