Abstract
Un procedimiento para convertir un hidrocarburo que comprende poner en contacto el hidrocarburo en condiciones de conversión de hidrocarburos con una composición catalítica ácida sulfurada selectivamente que comprende un material soporte poroso formado a partir de alúmina de Ziegler que contiene, sobre una base elemental, 0,01 a 2% en peso de un metal del grupo del platino, 0,01 a 2% en peso de renio y 0,1 a 10% en peso de halógeno; donde el metal del grupo del platino y el renio están dispersados uniformemente por todo el material soporte de alúmina porosa; donde sustancialmente la totalidad del metal del grupo de platino está presente en el estado metálico elemental; donde la composición contiene azufre en una cantidad al menos suficiente para proporcionar una relación atómica de azufre a renio de 0,5:1 de tal modo que una porción sustancial del renio se mantiene en un estado sulfurado; y donde el estado sulfurado del renio se mantiene continuamente en toda la duración del procedimiento de conversión de hidrocarburos.
