Abstract

Procedimiento para la reducción directa de materiales que contienen óxidos de hierro para formar esponja de hierro en un horno tubular giratorio por medio de agentes reductores sólidos que contiene carbono con un elevado contenido de componentes combustibles volátiles, introduciéndose gases que contiene oxígeno por medio de tubos de envolvente en cantidad regulada en el espacio libre del horno, y conduciéndose la carga a través del horno tubular giratorio en contracorriente con la dirección de corriente de la atmósfera del horno, que se caracteriza porque en el selector de la zona de calentamiento, que empieza con la aparición de particular inflamables de los agentes reductores sólidos y termina delante de la zona de reducción, se insuflan en cantidades reguladas gases que contiene oxígeno por medio de ladrillos de tobera en la carga que se encuentra sobre ladrillos de tobera y se insuflan en cantidad regulada por medio de tubos de envolvente en el espacio libre del horno de la zona de calentamiento gases que contiene oxígeno.
