Abstract

The control of the feed and take-off of oil in a press, esp. between an intake container and the press hydraulic drive where the controller is also used to reduce the pressure of the hydraulic drive. A cylindrical housing (30) has a coaxial opening (31) which is connected with the cylinder (11) of the hydraulic drive. A number of connecting holes (43) in the housing (30) set opening (31) in connection with the oil tank (28). A piston (32) divides the housing into a top chamber (33) which can be connected with the oil outlet (39) via valve devices, and into a bottom chamber (34) which is connected with the tank (28) via holes (41) in the housing. A piston return spring (42) is fitted in the bottom chamber (34) while a piston rod (35) can move between a position which cuts off the connecting holes (43) and a position which frees them.
