Abstract
Procedimiento de tratamiento de un licor alcalino, que contiene a la vez iones sulfato e iones sodio, y más particularmente, unas sales de sodio industrialmente útiles, tales como carbonato de sodio, siendo este licor en particular del tipo del que se deriva de una lejía a base de carbonato de sodio, que ha servido para el ataque, en presencia de un oxidante, de un mineral uranífero que contiene compuestos de azufre, con el fin de extraer del mismo el uranio en forma solubilizada, caracterizado por las etapas que constituyen: a) la puesta en contacto de este licor con una resina intercambiadora de iones, catiónicos, previamente puesta en forma de amonio, y la recuperación, cuando el intercambio de iones se ha realizado, de una solución en la cual las sales y complejos anteriormente de sodio han sido esencialmente transformados en sales y complejos de amonio, b) el tratamiento ulterior del licor obtenido después de la eventual separación selectiva, en el caso preferido antes indicado, de loscompuestos de uranio que pudiera contener, por un hidróxido de un metal tal como el calcio que permite la transformación del sulfato de amonio contenido en este licor en sulfato insoluble de este metal, particularmente de calcio, c) la elución de los iones sodio fijados sobre dicha resina intercambiadora de iones, por la puesta en contacto de esta última con una solución de una sal de amonio, cuya unión es preferentemente el de la sal de sodio industrialmente útil inicial, tal como un carbonato.
