Abstract

Un procedimiento para mejorar el comportamiento de los catalizadores de plata que han sido empleados en la preparación de óxido de etileno haciendo reaccionar etileno con oxígeno molecular que comprende: a) lavar el catalizador usado con agua o una mezcla de agua con un disolvente orgánico miscible en agua y b) depositar de 0,00004 a 0,008 pesos equivalente-gramo por kilogramo (basado en el catalizador completo) de iones de uno o más de los metales alcalinos sodio, potasio, rubidio o cesio sobre el catalizador lavado.
