Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'améliorer les propriétés des catalyseurs à base d'argent utilisés dans la fabrication de l'oxyde d'éthylène. Le procédé consiste à imprégner un catalyseur par une solution de composés de césium et/ou de rubidium puis à le sécher, la quantité de composés de césium et/ou de rubidium ajoutée au catalyseur étant comprise entre 1/100 et 10 milliatomes-grammes de césium et/ou de rubidium par kg de catalyseur. Le procédé est particulièrement applicable à la régénération de catalyseurs usagés à base d'argent.
