Abstract

Un procedimiento para preparar ácido cianúrico por calentamiento de urea y/o biuret en un disolvente, caracterizado por el hecho de que la reacción se efectúa en nitrato de amonio fundido como disolvente en las condiciones de reacción siguientes: a) la concentración de urea y/o biuret en dicho disolvente es inferior a 500 gramos por kg de solución, b) la reacción se lleva a cabo en ausencia de un catalizador de sílice, y c) durante la reacción, se reduce la concentración del amoníaco producido en la mezcla de reacción.
