Abstract

Procedimiento para preparar ácido iso- o tereftálico, mediante oxidación en fase líquida de m- o p-xileno con aire en una zona de oxidación a temperatura elevada de hasta 275ºC, en presencia de una solución en ácido monocarboxílico de componentes catalíticos que comprenden una fuente de bromo y uno o más catalizadores de oxidación de metal de transición mantenidos en forma líquida a dicha temperatura por presión elevada en la zona de oxidación.
