Abstract

The container is made from thick glass and has an outlet tap at the bottom. The top of the container has a circular flange (12) which holds a cross arm (6) into position. The central hub of the cross arm has a screw thread to take the adjusting screw (7). The screw is turned by the knob (13) and operates the pusher rod (16) which rests on the compression spring. The liquid cover (4) is slightly concave and has an 'O' ring around its edge to form an air seal between the liquid and the outside. There is a vent tap (10) in the lid.
