Abstract

Procedimiento para aumentar el índice de octano de una fracción de gasolina ligera, caracterizado porque una fracción de gasolina que comprende hidrocarburos C5 y c6, que contiene parafinas sin ramificar y consistente en más de 10% en peso de parafinas C5, más de 10% en peso de parafinas C6, más de 90% en peso de parafinas C5 y C6, y menos de 2% en peso de benceno, se pone en contacto, a temperatura y presión elevadas y en presencia de hidrógeno, con un lecho fijo de catalizador, cuyo catalizador contiene uno o más metales nobles del grupo VIII sobre mordenita como soporte, con aplicación de una proporción molar hidrógeno/alimentación.
