Abstract
Improvements introduced in the object of the main patent no. 436431, requested on april 9, 1975, by a control system for regulating the heat input to the reboiler section of a distillation column according to which said system has a first heater of external heat recovery boiler belonging thereto, said heater having feed inlet means through which heat is supplied by a circulating treatment stream, which control system comprises, in cooperating combination (a) a chamber receiving for liquid queuing material in said reboiling section, means for circulating a first part thereof through said first heater, whereby said first part is heated and partially vaporized therein; (b) a second external reboiler heater having feed inlet means thereto and means for heating said second heater; (c) means for circulating a second part of said glue material through said second heater, whereby said second part is heated and partially vaporized therein; (d) means of varying the heat to adjust the supply of heat to said second reboiler heater; (e) duct means for introducing the partially vaporized first and second portions of said bottom material from said reboiling heaters in said reboiling section; (f) means for measuring the flow disposed internally within said reaming section and responsive to the amount of steam flowing upwardly from said reboiling section into the fractional distillation section of said distillation column; (g) signal receiving means in communication with said means for measuring the flow, to perceive and indicate a signal representative of the amount of steam that passes to said fractional distillation section, said signal receiving means being in communication with said heat variation means for transmitting said signal to said heat variation means, whereby the supply of heat to said second heater is adjusted in response to the amount of vapors flowing; and (h) flow regulating means for removing excess liquid bottom material from said reboiling section and removing it from said distillation column.
