Abstract
A deflection unit for color television picture tubes where the beam generating systems or electron guns that are required to generate the individual color components are spatially located and separated from each other, preferably in a line, in where the deflection unit generates an electromagnetic deflection field and is located outside the neck of the imaging tube; color television, and the two fields of deflection of the electron beam that extend vertically relative to the axis of the tube, are generated by two deflection coils that are independent of each other.
