Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent drifting phenomena of an electron beam and to devise an improvement of a convergence shifting by surrounding an electromagnetic focusing space of an electron beam with a magnetic shielding body made of a high conductive material.
CONSTITUTION: In an electromagnetic focusing space between magnetic yokes 5 installed oppositely facing, a magnetic shield 13 formed as a cylindrical shape with a conductive magnetic body such as for example permalloid is provided so as to surround an entity of cylindrical magnet bodies 8 and permanent magnets 9.
