Abstract
Procedure for preparing synergistic herbicidal compositions, characterized in that a diphenyl-1H-pyrazolium salt of formula: **(See formula)** where R1 is methyl; R2 is C1-C4 alkyl; X is an anion with a charge of 1 to 3; Y, Y', Z and Z' with each hydrogen, halogen, methyl or methoxy; and m is an integer from 1 to 3; with the proviso that only one phenyl ring may be substituted on the carbon in para position with respect to the pyrazolium ring with a substituent other than hydrogen; and (b) a compound of the general formula: (II) R-N (CH3) 3.Y wherein R is a lower aliphatic radical selected from the class consisting of lower haloalkyl, lower alkylene, lower haloalkylene, lower cyanoalkyl, lower mercaptoalkyl, lower alkoxyalkyl, and lower epithioalkyl; and Y is a non-phytotoxic anion; said cation (I) and compounds (II) being combined in a weight ratio of 1: 1 to 1:16, respectively.
