Abstract
Dispositivo reactor para la preparación de metanol por reacción de gases que contienen óxidos de carbono e hidrógeno en presencia de catalizadores que contienen cobre a temperaturas de 230 a 280ºC y presiones de 10a 200 atmósferas, que consiste en un tubo o en varios tubos a base de metal, que contienen el catalizador y están rodeados por una envolvente de reactor que contiene un medio de refrigeración caracterizado porque la longitud L y el diámetro interior D responden a las ecuaciones **fórmula** en que están preestablecidas una densidad de corriente másica m de la mezcla gaseosa que penetra en el tubo y el tamaño de granos d del catalizador, y en que los factores empíricos pueden tener los siguientes valores: a2 de 0,25 hasta 2,o y a3 de 1,4 hasta 5,6
