Abstract

Un procedimiento para producir fuel oil que contiene menos de aproximadamente 1,0% en peso de azufre, a partir de un material de carga de naturaleza hidrocarburada, asfáltico, que contiene más de aproximadamente 2,0% en peso de azufre, procedimiento que comprende las operaciones de: (a) hacer reaccionar dicho material de carga e hidrógeno, en una primera zona de reacción catalítica, en condiciones de desulfuración seleccionadas para convertir los compuestos de azufre en sulfuro de hidrógeno e hidrocarburos; (b) separar el efluente resultante de la primera zona de reacción, sustancialmente a la misma presión, en una primera zona de separación, para proporcionar una primera fase de vapor y una primera fase normalmente líquida; © desasfaltar al menos una porción de dicha primera fase líquida con un disolvente selectivo en una zona de extracción con disolvente para proporcionar una fase normalmente líquida rica en disolvente y un concentrado de asfaltenos pobre en disolvente; (d) hacer reaccionar al menos una porción de dicha primera fase de vapor y dicha fase líquida rica en disolvente con hidrógeno, en una segunda zona de reacción catalítica, en condiciones de desulfuración seleccionadas para convertir compuestos de azufre adicionales en sulfuro de hidrógeno e hidrocarburos y, (e) separar el efluente resultante de la segunda zona de reacción , en una segunda zona de separación sustancialmente a la misma presión y a una temperatura comprendida entre 16º C y aproximadamente 60ºC, para recuperar un producto de fuel oil que contiene menos de aproximadamente 1,0 en peso de azufre.
